enjoys them especially because of the wonderful people she has met. She started her business

Gourds are her canvas.
When she was young she spent most of her time working as an RN and raising our family so she didn’t have much time to spend on her love for art. However, she did discover her love for gourds.
After a gourd has matured on the vine and it is picked it will go through a 6 -9 month drying process where it will harden.
She then starts to scrub and clean the molded outer skin.
Her art process takes between 6- 44 hours from start to finish depending on the size and complexity of the piece. She paints, sculpts, coil, burns or carves on the gourd canvases. The gourds come from local growers and gourd farms in CA or AZ.
